Overview
The Solutions Engineer is central to our business-winning activity, providing technical support for customer engagements and leading the technical delivery of assigned bids and tenders. You’ll work closely with business development, account management, and engineering teams, acting as the focal point for shaping and coordinating clear, compelling technical information for customers. Reporting to the Business Development Director, you’ll be a collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude, committed to meeting goals and deadlines. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
Roles and Responsibilities Include:
- Acting as the focal point in collating a Customer response against a technical requirement, whether this is a presentation or a written document.
- Working collaboratively with the account management and engineering teams, to understand the requirements, develop solutions, identifying any innovation or partnerships that will maximise the business’ chance of securing the opportunity.
- Any technical response could include the proposed technical approach and solution, the project management plan and schedule, and the associated costs.
- Contribute to aspects of Gosport marketing including, website development, newsletters, networking events, conferences and exhibitions.
- Support the continuous review and improvement of all aspects of business winning function based on lessons learnt, feedback and experience.
Qualifications, Experience And Skills:
- Ideally with an Engineering Degree and Defence experience.
- Good attention to detail; maintaining our high standards for delivery, quality & accuracy.
Competencies:
- Proven success in identifying problems and developing workable technical solutions.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- A clean driving licence.
