STS Engine Services is hiring Stores Operatives in Stansted, United Kingdom. This is a permanent opportunity within a rapidly growing EASA Part 145 aircraft engine MRO facility supporting global airlines and engine leasing companies. As a Stores Operative, you will support the daily operations of a busy aviation stores department, ensuring accurate material handling, regulatory compliance, and efficient inventory control. The role requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a regulated aerospace environment.

Reports to: Stores Shift Leader

Shifts: Varying shifts available

Employment Type: Permanent

Starting Salary: £30,189 per annum

Additional £6,000 available upon Receiving Inspector approval

Location: Stansted, United Kingdom

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day running of Stores
  • Pick and issue parts and consumables
  • Book tooling in and out, with particular attention to calibrated items
  • Ensure correct material handling and storage conditions in line with regulatory standards and Company procedures
  • Control and monitor shelf-life expiry lists
  • Perform periodic stock checks
  • Process unserviceable parts into stock or scrap
  • Control and dispose of waste products in line with Company and environmental requirements
  • Accept and offload deliveries
  • Dispatch parts for return, repair, or transfer to suppliers or customers
  • Assist with loading and offloading aircraft engines and stands when required
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
  • Maintain awareness and consideration of Human Factors
  • Complete additional tasks as defined by management

Additional Responsibilities as a Receiving Inspector

  • Conduct physical inspection of engine parts
  • Validate accompanying paperwork in line with regulatory standards and Company procedures
  • Receive parts into inventory systems
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding engine part acceptance
  • Maintain awareness of Suspected Unapproved Parts controls and guidance

Skills and Experience

  • Computer literate, with training provided on company systems as required
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Experience in goods inwards processing and inspection within an aviation stores environment desirable
  • Forklift licence desirable, with training available if required
