Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Service Engineer to join our team in Stansted. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the maintenance and repair of commercial aircraft engines, ensuring all work is completed in line with customer requirements, OEM guidance and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support safe, compliant and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support
- Liaise with engine OEMs to resolve technical issues.
- Raise and manage technical support requests, including CSC cases, Technical Variances or equivalent.
- Collaborate with OEMs to interpret deviation requests or repair schemes and provide feedback to the workshop for implementation.
- Address and resolve technical queries from shop floor technicians to support smooth and efficient engine maintenance and repair operations.
- Workscope Development
- Assist the planning department and create work instructions in line with work requests for engines undergoing maintenance or repair.
- Ensure customer requirements, including LLP replacement, repairs or engine overhaul, are met accurately.
- Assist the commercial department with the acceptance and quoting of new workscopes.
- Identify tooling, material and man-hour requirements.
- OEM Documentation Management
- Conduct regular and thorough reviews of OEM documentation, including updates to engine manuals, newly released Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
- Ensure all necessary resources and tools are in place for the workshop to implement documentation changes effectively.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with all departments, including Safety and Compliance, Workshop and Customer Services.
- Support seamless coordination and execution of technical services across the business.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and procedures.
Skills & Requirements
- Relevant engineering degree or EASA Part 66 maintenance licence.
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul processes.
- Familiarity with OEM documentation, manuals and Service Bulletins.
- Understanding of Part 145 regulation and Part CAMO.
