STS Engine Services is hiring Stores Operatives to support its Components Warehouse in Stansted, Essex, United Kingdom. This role is critical to maintaining efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance within a busy Part 145 aircraft engine MRO environment. If you are organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced aviation stores operation, this is where you step in.
The Stores Operative supports the day-to-day operation of the warehouse by managing aircraft components, consumables, and documentation. This role ensures all materials are handled, stored, and issued in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. A flexible approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Support the daily operation of the Stores and Components Warehouse
- Pick and issue aircraft parts and consumables to support maintenance activities
- Receive incoming deliveries and complete goods-in processing
- Perform physical inspection of parts and validate accompanying documentation
- Ensure all materials are stored and handled in accordance with regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems as required
- Monitor shelf-life expiry and manage controlled materials accordingly
- Conduct periodic stock checks and support inventory audits
- Support customs clearance processes where required
- Manage waste control and disposal in line with company and environmental standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Apply Human Factors awareness in all activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Computer literate with the ability to use warehouse and inventory systems
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Full clean UK driving licence required
- Previous experience working in an aviation stores or warehouse environment preferred
- Experience with goods-in inspection and documentation validation preferred
- Forklift licence desirable, training can be provided if required
