STS Aviation Services are rapidly growing and we are looking for a Sheet Metal Mechanic to be part of our journey as the leading UK MRO. If you want to be part of the next chapter of our journey playing a key role at our Newquay Hangar, then we’d love to hear from you.
Applicants MUST either be Citizens of the United Kingdom, or must currently have a valid work Authorisation for working in the UK, with at least 2 years remaining until its Expiration Date.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Removal of major aircraft structural sections, whilst stress jacked.
- Working to fine tolerances and high standards.
- Upholding high standards of housekeeping.
- Adhering to company and manufacturers procedures.
- Implementing modifications from drawings and procedures.
Skills and Abilities
- Completed aircraft engineering apprenticeship, production or live aircraft.
- Ideally 5 years live aircraft and structures experience.
- Demonstratable experience in aircraft modification/production environment.
- Experience of implementing and carrying out aircraft component modifications.
- Experienced and capable of reading manufacturers drawings and SRMs.
- Excellent hand skills.
- Takes full ownership and responsibility for own tasks.
- Good organisational skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
