STS Aviation Services is hiring a Junior Safety Engineer in Manchester, United Kingdom. This is an opportunity to support the Safety & Compliance team at one of the UK’s leading MRO organisations. The role is built for someone who is detail-driven, technically capable and ready to help strengthen operational safety across a live aircraft maintenance environment. The Junior Safety Engineer will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Safety Management System under EASA/CAA Part-145. You will work closely with engineering, production and quality teams to ensure safety data is captured, analysed and acted upon effectively.

The role is based on a Monday to Friday work pattern, with flexible hours required to support operational needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Support the ongoing development, monitoring and enhancement of the company’s Safety Management System in accordance with ICAO Annex 19 and Part-145 requirements.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections and investigations, producing detailed reports and root cause analyses.
- Monitor safety performance indicators and ensure timely closure of safety actions.
- Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessments and safety workshops across maintenance teams.
- Manage and analyse safety reports within the SMS platform, Centrik.
- Support compliance monitoring activities and ensure findings are accurately recorded and addressed.
- Assist with the development and delivery of safety communications and training material.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production departments to enhance safety awareness and operational safety performance.
- Promote a positive safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within safety, quality and compliance functions.
- BSc in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 1+ years’ experience in a Part-145 maintenance safety or compliance role.
