STS Aviation Services is hiring an HR Administrator in Manchester, United Kingdom. This role is built for someone who understands that strong HR support does not happen by accident. It takes accuracy, organisation, discretion and the ability to keep people, systems and processes moving without creating noise. As an HR Administrator, you will provide efficient and accurate administrative support across the full employee lifecycle. You will support onboarding, contracts, HR systems administration, employee records management and day-to-day HR operations while helping ensure a positive employee experience and continued compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements. You will also act as a first point of contact for operational teams, responding to basic HR queries in line with company policy and employment legislation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue employment offers and contracts for new starters.
- Manage the full onboarding process, including administration through digital onboarding platforms.
- Liaise with other functional teams to ensure new starters have necessary equipment and systems access.
- Support induction process.
- Coordinate and process Right to Work checks in line with legal and company requirements.
- Undertake security vetting liaising with other departments as required.
- Monitor and manage the HR mailbox, responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and process contract changes, including promotions, employment letters, etc.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems as required.
- Input and maintain employee data within HR systems.
- Administer employee leave processes, ensuring accurate documentation and system updates.
- Coordinate employment references for current and former employees.
- Arrange Occupational Health bookings and liaise with employees and providers as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider HR team.
- Provide note taking support in meetings as required.
- Assist Line Managers in resolving/escalating a range of HR issues, by advising on HR policies, procedures and employment law. Escalating if necessary for support.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an HR administration or HR support role, minimum 2 years.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of onboarding and Right to Work processes.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a collaborative approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
- Full driving licence.
- Understanding of HR policies and employment legislation.
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD certification.
Additional Requirements
The role will require the individual to obtain airside passes for various airports, as well as completing full security vetting, including SC clearance.
