As a leading medical device company, Stryker is committed to improving patient lives through innovative products and technology. The Senior Product Manager will play a key role in driving profitable growth for the Upper Extremities portfolio across the UK and Ireland.

What you will be doing

The Senior Product Manager will be the local leader for the Upper Extremities portfolio, responsible for translating the central marketing strategy into a local plan and executing it in close collaboration with sales, marketing, and brand teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a localized marketing strategy aligned with the central strategy to ensure effective market penetration and product positioning.
  • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for local marketing initiatives and measure performance to drive continuous improvements.
  • Plan and implement an Annual Marketing Plan (AMP) in line with the global AMP, focusing on new product launches and local commercialization strategies.
  • Continuously gather and analyse market insights, customer feedback, and competitor activities to adjust marketing strategies.
  • Monitor business performance, analysing key metrics to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Represent Stryker at local industry events, conferences, and congresses to stay informed on industry trends and build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and customers.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales force to co-travel to customer sites, identify business opportunities, and support sales teams in driving revenue.
  • Develop and implement a local medical education (MedEd) strategy, ensuring timely execution of educational initiatives.
  • Provide product expertise and sales training, answering product-related queries and offering technical expertise to customers and sales teams.
  • Work closely with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure smooth product availability for customers.
  • Support internal communication efforts by contributing relevant content for newsletters and other informational materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Science, Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, including prior medical device industry experience.
  • Orthopaedic and shoulder joint knowledge and experience and strong business acumen.
  • Track record of driving profitable growth, new product introduction, and successful regional and local marketing strategies.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines.
  • Proven ability to mentor others and communicate with senior leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work within complex inter‑divisional procedures and policies.

Travel & Working Conditions

This role requires UK national travel, including overnight stays for customer visits, conferences and educational events. The candidate will work primarily from home with regular visits to the head office in Newbury and occasional international travel.
