As a Product Manager, Emergency Care Transport UK&I you will develop specific marketing plans and activities for the specific products and product lines to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Develop business plans and product positioning in the marketplace, oversee market research, monitor competitive activity and identify customer needs. Establish pricing strategies, work with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products or enhance existing products/lines.
The workload will require the candidate to engage members of the Sales team to participate in projects. Candidates with prior medical-industry sales or marketing experience, strong business acumen and the ability to show leadership to the sales team are encouraged to apply.
This role will require UK and Ireland travel and to stay away from home overnight on a regular basis for customer visits, conferences and educational events. This person will be based from home however, regular visits to the head office in Newbury will be expected and occasional international travel. Overall travel expectation is 30%.

What you will be doing:

Develop Commercialization / Annual Marketing Plans that demonstrate the size of the opportunity in growth areas and the tactics to deliver on the opportunity. Build a commercial Sales & Annual Marketing Plan alongside the Sales Leadership Team. Communicate plans with the sales team, regional marketing teams and division to ensure opportunities are well understood and key stakeholders are aligned to execution plans.

Continually monitor market size, share and trends to make recommendations on market opportunity and strategic focus areas, and incorporate them into marketing strategy.

Gain market insights through VOC with customers, KOLs and organizations. Translate insights into future business strategy, and proactively partner with the sales team to adjust marketing strategy based on changes to healthcare environments or new VOC

Understand key competitors and their relative strengths/weaknesses

Understand customer groups, including why customers buy the product or service approach for the product or portfolio

Understand the different marketing channel strategies and associated business implications

Track and report results/KPIs to leadership and sales

Understand competitive dynamics in the market

Articulate why the product or portfolio adds value or solves problems for the customer

Create marketing strategies to understand, develop, and enhance the relationship between the customer and the product or portfolio

Tie the business goal of the product or portfolio to the overall goal of Stryker

Apply clinical knowledge in combination with technical knowledge to educate and articulate value

Work closely with sales training to set the sales training strategy for the product or portfolio

Provide analytical support to set price

Articulate desired communications outcomes consistent with marketing strategy to MarCom team

Establish short-range and long-range improvement goals for the product management team, and under guidance, develop action plans to achieve those goals

What you will need:

We are looking for an individual with 3+ years of either marketing and/or medical device sales experience

Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines

Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority

Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

A full, valid UK driver’s license.
