Position Summary: The Asset Specialist is a person that works together and influences management in the country/region leadership team regarding the Asset Management Strategy for inventory in the field. The person will pro-actively work with business leaders to drive inventory optimization and be a strong influencer to drive financial results. This person must have strong skills in communication and influence. The key stakeholders will be the Sales representatives and Regional Sales Manager, Finance Directors & Supply Planning Team.
What you will do:
- Provide direct input, advice and guidance to the sales Divisions in relation to the best options for sourcing the Kits and Assets being requested by the sales teams in the countries or region of coverage.
- Provide guidance to define the optimal level of existing consignment inventory and related optimization.
- Lead and initiate discussion and present recommendations for asset and inventory optimization to the local and European business leadership teams.
- Provide guidance and advisory to the Divisions for the most cost-effective decisions on CERs.
- Responsible for supporting the local RCC process, respecting SOX, Finance and compliance requirements.
- Ownership of the consignment write-offs and disposal, including the management of expiry dates in consignment and product replacements.
- Manages local PLCM and phase in/out process.
- Focus on making local procedural changes and new or more effective ways to accomplish tasks, achieving team goals or performing team functions, standardized across Europe.
- Play an active role in the European Operations team as we strive to implement a world class asset and inventory management strategy.
- Take ownership or participate in projects to further improve European asset and inventory management capabilities resulting in increasing customer satisfaction, increasing efficiency, lower costs and optimized inventory levels.
- Participate in discussions with Supply Chain to ensure assets and inventory are available when required / needed by customers.
- Build, liaise and maintain relationships and collaborate with colleagues across functions (Operations, Finance, etc.), divisions (Sales, Marketing) and leadership.
- Track and handle CERs.
- Review existing inventory and raise and monitor purchase requests against capital budget (budgets received from Divisions).
- Provide evidence and reporting of budget spent to the divisions.
- Provide feedback and detailed ROI reports to decision makers.
- Tracking and reporting on Return on Investments (ROI) for local investments made (Kits & consignment, capital placement).
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to assets and inventory are monitored and achieved.
- Tracking and analysis of STC and Demo fleet (turns, returns, etc.).
- Proactively manage ‘pending kits’ and provide visibility to the business for accelerating deployment or decommissioning of kits.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and clean Kit & consignment data, and review resulting statistical and accurate asset and inventory level information for country or region.
- Take ownership and participate in projects to further improve the European Stryker Customer Logistics function, resulting in increasing customer satisfaction, increasing efficiency, lower costs and optimized inventory levels.
- Play an active role in the European Operations team as we strive to implement a world class Logistics and Customer Care Operation.
What you will need:

- 1-2 Years of experience within Asset Management or Supply Chain/Planning/customer service.
- Influence skills to work with senior leaders and drive agenda and strategy.
- Proven excellent communication skills.
- Relationship building experience across divisions.
- Can demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills, especially complex problems.
Desirable:
- Experience with continuous improvement and change management.
- Experience in an international environment.
- Experience creating reports using data modelling software.
- Drive SOP alignment and standardisation.
