Position Summary
This is a one-year placement student opportunity. Working as part of the Stryker Public Access Sales and Marketing department, the successful applicant will be required to work within the HeartSine AED Product Management Team to uphold Stryker’s reputation within the global AED market as the leading provider of Public Access Defibrillators. The position will provide experience and training in an increasingly sought-after aspect of product management. As well as aiding in the preparation and maintenance of documentation for new and existing product features and new product release, the successful candidate will attend and contribute to maintenance of product sales BoMs, literature kits and the investigation and analysis of competitor products and systems. For applicants with an interest in medical devices, the opportunity exists to become involved in product design, development and marketing activities.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Help develop and maintain all Sales Bills of Materials to ensure consistency for customer orders.
- Assist in preparation and development of new technical documents, product manuals and marketing material.
- Assist in the investigation and analysis of competitor products and systems.
- Assist in Voice of Customer research activities.
- Assist in localisation projects helping oversee the translation process.
- Help deliver HeartSine AED product training internally and externally.
- Assist in maintenance of the HeartSine website.
- Work in accordance with the Stryker Belfast Quality Management System.
- Maintain awareness of the Company Health and Safety Policy and Fire Evacuation Procedure.
- Assist with other product or marketing tasks deemed necessary by the Senior Portfolio Manager, Upstream Marketing.
Qualifications
Applicants should be studying for a third level qualification in either design engineering, electronics or biomedical engineering or related discipline. High performing marketing undergraduates will also be considered for this role.

- Essential: Effective written & verbal, reporting and communication skills.
- Essential: Understanding of basic technical documentation.
- Desirable: Working within a team environment.
- Desirable: Previous experience within a responsible employment role.
- Desirable: Project leadership/supervision experience.
