The Job’s mission: As Manager Product Marketing, you will lead a talented team of Product Marketeers and drive market share growth for Stryker’s Trauma business in The UK & Northern Europe (i.e., Benelux & Nordics) – through the formulation and execution of effective marketing plans consistent with overall business objectives. You will combine strategic thinking, strong marketing expertise and business acumen to drive innovative marketing initiatives across a diverse region – supporting growth and inspiring your team to achieve outstanding results. You will work closely with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen our market leadership and bring meaningful solutions to patients. This role can be based in the UK or in Northern Europe (i.e., Benelux & Nordics) – and it is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world's leading medical technology organizations in our mission of making healthcare better!
What you will do:
- In your new role, you will start with a familiarization phase to learn about our portfolio and build relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate a team of Product Marketeers (currently 4 direct reports): you will coach and develop your team to achieve their full potential – promoting an environment that fosters personal growth and development.
- Enable your team to deliver high quality results with passion, energy and drive to meet business priorities.
- In collaboration with the Brand Marketing team and other stakeholders and, in alignment with Global/European guidelines, you will lead the development and execution of the annual and long-term marketing strategy for Trauma UK & Northern Europe – to achieve required growth, profit and market share targets.
- Translate marketing vision into action by guiding the team to break down and execute strategic plans.
- Partner with Country Leadership and Sales teams to define priorities, support commercial execution and strengthen customer engagement.
- Drive market analysis, competitive insights, key differentiators, launches and lifecycle management for the Trauma portfolio.
- Establish/refine metrics to determine if marketing objectives have been effective in driving customer engagement.
- Budgetary management of marketing activities, understanding of P&L: develop a deep understanding of the financial performance of the Trauma business in the region.
- Set smart pricing strategies, including contract pricing, to support commercial success.
- Develop key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, institutions, key customers, etc. generating strategic insights and deep understanding of customer needs.
- Identify opportunities and influence cross-regionally and cross-divisionally to drive growth and deliver enhanced customer value for our business.
What you need:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 8+ years of work experience is required, of which a significant portion is in fields such as international Marketing, Product/Brand Management, Sales etc. within industries such as MedTech, BioTech, Pharmaceuticals, healthcare or related.
- Experience in managing or coaching/mentoring teams is required (2+ years is preferred).
- Ability to accurately and effectively lead/manage (marketing) projects to ensure timely outcomes, business performance and growth.
- Excellent interpersonal communications, persuasion and presentation skills – with fluency in spoken and written English.
- You are a sophisticated collaborator and networker capable of leveraging these strengths and relationships effectively within a matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to stakeholders and customers from different markets and cultures.
- Strong strategic-thinking, adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies.
- Impeccable work ethics & integrity in managing confidential information.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- You have a valid driver’s license and you are flexible to travel in the region as this position involves sales support and customer interaction. Travel: up to 50%.
Preferred:
- Orthopaedics/Trauma experience is not mandatory, but it would be an advantage.
- MBA is preferred.
