Job Overview

Field‑based Field Service Engineer – Permanent Contract – East Anglia (Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, North London outskirts).

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance service for Stryker products, ensuring compliance with quality systems and manufacturer specifications.
  • Repair and check electronic/mechanical Stryker products, perform annual checks and calibrations per MDR at customer sites.
  • Fulfil service contracts with planned maintenance and installation of Stryker systems on customer sites (e. g., Integrated OR).
  • Upgrade software & hardware of instruments.
  • Deliver technical training to internal and external customers.
  • Produce accurate and thorough documentation of service activities for internal and external reference.
  • Schedule customer visits in collaboration with Customer Service and ensure traceability of all field‑based products through reporting tools.
  • Attend team meetings and deliver presentations to support team development.
  • Provide technical support to Product Managers, Sales staff and customers, and IT support for certain instruments.
  • Escalate opportunities and issues appropriately; ensure excellent follow‑up on all customer‑initiated issues.
  • Ensure service is invoiced when not under warranty.

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or qualifications in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Mechanical / Software Technology.
  • Fluency in spoken and written technical and medical English; good local language skills.
  • Proficient in IT (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MFG/Pro, PS3, Outlook).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in medical electronics with solid mechanical skills.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in field‑service environment and administrative/technical IT support.

Work occurs in workshops, hospitals, and theatres.

Engagement with key customers and stakeholders (theatre staff, EBME staff, CSSD staff, procurement, purchasing).

Regular travel within the defined region – up to 80% of time – with accommodation provided/arranged per Stryker travel policy.
