Job Overview
Field‑based Field Service Engineer – Permanent Contract – East Anglia (Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, North London outskirts).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain professional and profitable repair and preventive maintenance service for Stryker products, ensuring compliance with quality systems and manufacturer specifications.
- Repair and check electronic/mechanical Stryker products, perform annual checks and calibrations per MDR at customer sites.
- Fulfil service contracts with planned maintenance and installation of Stryker systems on customer sites (e. g., Integrated OR).
- Upgrade software & hardware of instruments.
- Deliver technical training to internal and external customers.
- Produce accurate and thorough documentation of service activities for internal and external reference.
- Schedule customer visits in collaboration with Customer Service and ensure traceability of all field‑based products through reporting tools.
- Attend team meetings and deliver presentations to support team development.
- Provide technical support to Product Managers, Sales staff and customers, and IT support for certain instruments.
- Escalate opportunities and issues appropriately; ensure excellent follow‑up on all customer‑initiated issues.
- Ensure service is invoiced when not under warranty.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or qualifications in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Mechanical / Software Technology.
- Fluency in spoken and written technical and medical English; good local language skills.
- Proficient in IT (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MFG/Pro, PS3, Outlook).
- Minimum 3 years experience in medical electronics with solid mechanical skills.
- Minimum 2 years experience in field‑service environment and administrative/technical IT support.

Regular travel within the defined region – up to 80% of time – with accommodation provided/arranged per Stryker travel policy.
