In this role, you will work with research teams to understand their needs and translate them into secure, scalable and supportable solutions using Oracle technologies. You will advise on solution architecture, cloud adoption, analytics platforms, application modernization, automation and applied AI. You will also collaborate closely with Oracle Health Cloud Engineering, Oracle IT, security, privacy and governance teams to ensure that proposed solutions align with enterprise standards and can be implemented successfully.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience in cloud architecture, solution architecture, research technology, analytics engineering, data platforms or technical consulting.
- Experience designing and delivering cloud-based technology solutions.
- Strong ability to translate complex or ambiguous business requirements into practical technical designs.
- Experience with databases, analytics platforms, applications, dashboards, data workflows, automation or cloud migration.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture principles, security, networking, identity and access management and role-based access control.
- Understanding of enterprise security, privacy, governance and data-management requirements.
- Familiarity with research, analytics, reporting, data science or applied AI environments.
- Proficiency in at least one relevant language or technology, such as Python, R, SQL, PL/SQL, SAS or SPSS.
- Strong written, verbal and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts, options and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working across research, business, engineering, security, governance and delivery teams.

- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or related Oracle technologies.
- Experience with Oracle Database, Autonomous Database, Oracle APEX, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Object Storage or OCI Data Science.
- Experience in life sciences, healthcare, research, market research or analytics consulting.
- Understanding of research methodologies, survey data, statistical analysis or research delivery workflows.
- Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications and analytical environments.
- Experience working within a large enterprise cloud environment with formal architecture, security and provisioning processes.
Responsibilities
- Design technical solutions for research, analytics, data science and operational use cases.
- Translate business requirements into solution architectures, implementation plans and technical documentation.
- Design and implement solutions using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Services such as Autonomous Database, APEX, Analytics Cloud and OCI Data Science.
- Support the migration and modernization of legacy applications, databases, dashboards and analytical environments.
- Assess technical feasibility, delivery effort, cost, security, operational impact and implementation risk.
- Guide research teams on cloud adoption, automation, analytics and AI-enabled solutions.
- Coordinate with engineering and infrastructure teams on provisioning, networking, identity and access management, architecture reviews and release dependencies.
- Ensure that solutions comply with Oracle/Oracle Health security, privacy, governance and data-handling requirements.
- Support the ongoing operation, enhancement and troubleshooting of implemented platforms.
- Evaluate third-party technology requirements and recommend whether tools should be introduced, retained, replaced or retired.
