Associate Director- Financial Institutions
Aon has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join our UK/APAC Financial Institutions team, which forms part the wider Financial and Professional Service Group within our Global Broking Centre.
This role will suit an insurance broker, who is looking to take on more responsibility.
It involves co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of Financial Institutions business within the Lloyd's and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis.

- What the day will look like
- Contribute to the development of placement strategies and execute in line with agreed instructions.
- Working with Senior Broker / Broking Directors on larger accounts, provide full reviews of the risks proposed, preparation of underwriting presentations.
- Helping to manage the relationship between the insured/network and the GBC. This will require hosting of clients in London.
- Effectively delegate tasks to junior brokers where required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, clients and internal collaborators to align solutions with strategic objectives.
- Keeping abreast of FI market movements and changes of appetite.
- Lead account broking and follow market broking depending on territory and London Market insurer positioning.
- Review draft and final MRCs.
- Overall responsibility for running of the file, including the use of electronic placing platforms, and ensuring KPI's are met, and relevant data captures are completed for each account.
- Provide support in RFP processes where necessary.
- Provide benchmarking and placement advice to networks/clients.
- Working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

- Experience gained within the insurance industry at either a Broker or Insurer.
- Technical Insurance knowledge across Financial Lines products.
- Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes.
- Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service.
- Experience of managing effective client relationships.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
- Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.
