We are looking for an AI Consultant (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) - Financial Services Expertise to join our team in London, UK, in a hybrid working mode. As one of the world’s leading digital transformation service providers, we are expanding our Data and AI Practice across Europe to meet growing client demand for advanced AI and data science solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning and analytics, combined with IT consulting experience and domain expertise in financial services. In this role, you will partner with clients to solve complex business challenges by designing, developing and deploying AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable business value. Your expertise in applying AI to address financial services challenges such as risk modeling, fraud detection and regulatory compliance will be essential, as will your ability to drive innovation and guide clients through the adoption of responsible and effective AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement AI strategies for financial services, focusing on risk, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Design and deploy AI-enabled solutions for use cases such as credit scoring, fraud detection, and customer analytics.
  • Implement AI governance frameworks including compliance with Basel III, GDPR, and ethical AI practices.
  • Lead deployment of MLOps pipelines to transition models from development to production.
  • Monitor model performance addressing explainability, data drift, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and legal teams to align AI solutions with regulatory standards.
  • Build Agentic AI solutions ensuring transparency, accountability, and auditability in financial workflows.
  • Communicate AI opportunities and risks efficiently to stakeholders and senior executives.
  • Support pre-sales activities including client presentations, demos, and RFP responses.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging AI technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or related field (Ph.D. a plus).
  • 5+ years in data science or AI roles within financial services or IT consulting for banking, insurance, or investment clients.
  • Proven experience with AI/ML financial solutions such as credit risk, AML, fraud detection, or algorithmic trading.
  • Familiarity with regulations such as Basel III, MiFID II, and the EU AI regulatory framework.
  • Experience designing and implementing Agentic AI solutions in regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of LLM applications for financial use cases such as document processing and chatbots.
  • Strong understanding of compliance-driven AI system design and transparency practices.
  • Solid grasp of MLOps principles with experience deploying models in production.
  • Proficiency in Python and tools/platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, MLFlow, and Airflow.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders.
