Manage a production operations team within a highly regulated Class 3 medical device manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will manage the team and processes to deliver Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Engagement performance targets, exceeding customer expectations while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and structured change initiatives across the site.
- What You’ll Do
- Lead day‑to‑day production operations, ensuring targets for safety, quality, delivery, cost and engagement are consistently achieved.
- Plan and allocate resources (people, materials, equipment, systems) to optimise production performance.
- Monitor daily KPIs, identify risks early, and drive corrective actions through structured problem‑solving.
- Develop, coach, and mentor team members to build capability and support succession planning.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leading Lean initiatives and change programmes that enhance operational performance.
- Lead the Daily Management process and ensure transparency of performance and clear communication through tiered review meetings and effective shift handover processes.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, HR, Finance and other stakeholders to support process optimisation and business growth.
- Support timely and proactive recruitment and workforce planning, utilising capacity planning tools and competency development tools to align production capability with customer demand.
- Drive consistent and effective performance management within Operations.
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and positive working environment aligned with regulatory and company standards, policies and procedures.
- Provide input to Operations strategic planning as required.
- Own NC/CAPA and any other duties deemed necessary by Management.
- Travel as necessary (up to 10% of the time).
- What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of industry experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Level 6 or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in driving process or continuous improvement initiatives (Green Belt or above) preferred.
