The Role
This is a great opportunity for a solicitor specialising in criminal practice to join our busy team.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, dedicated and take pride in their work, conducting themselves in a professional and friendly manner.
First class client care is essential, as is the ability to collaborate as part of a busy team to meet the firm’s commitments in the Police Station and Magistrates’ Court.
Some supervision and preparation of Crown Court cases is also part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Attending the Magistrates’ Court and Police Station.
- Supervision of some Crown Court cases.
- Some out of hours work (agents can be instructed).
- Responsibility for your own digital caseload.
- Billing
Qualifications And Experience
- Experience in criminal practice
- Qualified solicitor (duty qualification preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of Lexcel compliance
- An ability to work independently
- Experience of case management software and working digitally

- Full-time (Office hours 9:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday)
- Initially office based but then flexible
- Competitive salary in the region of £42,000 – £50,000 p/a, dependant on experience.
- Payment for out of hours Police Station attendances.
- 25 days annual leave in addition to UK Bank Holidays
