An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-driven individual to join a well-established and growing business based in the Aston area. This Accounts Assistant position is ideally suited to someone with a solid background in a similar role, looking to further develop their skills within a stable and professional environment within an SME business.
Working as part of a small close-knit finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting function and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained. The role offers broad exposure across the finance function, with regular interaction with clients and suppliers and involvement in month-end processes.
Day To Day Duties
- Reporting to the Accounts Manager on site
- Getting involved with all aspects of the day-to-day duties
- Managing Accounts
- Speaking to Clients and suppliers
- Chasing payments
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Invoicing and Invoice chasing
- Reconciliation
Experience And Skills Required
- You must have 2-3 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant role
- AAT qualified preferred but not essential
- Experience using Access / Dimensions preferred but not essential
- Be an advanced user of Excel, capable of manipulating data
- Feel confident working in a fast-paced and busy work environment
- Exceptional organisational skills allowing you to track and maintain ledgers and your day-to-day tasks as well as having a strong eye for detail
This will be a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate. Working Monday β Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm and Fridays 8.30am-1.30pm β 34.5 hours a week. Pay Β£16.50ph depending on experience.
