The Opportunity:
On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for an experienced Pump Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation based in Sheffield. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary, company van, and long-term career stability.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of pumping systems across a range of industrial and utility environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, servicing, and repair of pumping systems
- Fault finding on pumps, motors, seals, bearings, and associated equipment
- Planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Commissioning of new pump installations
- Completion of service reports and job documentation
- Adherence to health, safety, and quality standards
- Professional interaction with customers and site teams
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Pump Engineer or Mechanical Engineer (pump systems)
- Strong knowledge of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
- Mechanical fitting experience (seals, bearings, couplings, alignment)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Electrical awareness advantageous but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Relevant mechanical or engineering qualifications preferred
