Mobile Role – Covering Sites Across England
£45,000 – £47,000 + Door-to-Door Pay + Company Van (Personal Use Included) • Monday – Friday | 08:00–17:00 (40 hours/week)
The Opportunity
Winner Recruitment\’s Facilities Management team is partnering with a respected, family-run service provider in search of a skilled AC & Refrigeration Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that values its people and delivers expert solutions to a broad range of commercial clients — including MOD sites, hotels, and office buildings.
This mobile role will involve a 60/40 split between air conditioning and refrigeration duties, with a mix of planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and minor installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PPM (planned preventive maintenance) and reactive repairs on a wide range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including:
- VRV/VRF systems
- Split systems
- Cold rooms
- Chillers
- Carry out minor installations of AC and refrigeration units as required.
- Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs to restore functionality.
- Complete all relevant service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
- Liaise with clients on-site, maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety and company regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar AC & Refrigeration Engineering role.
- Relevant qualification, ideally NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent).
- FGAS certification (Category 1) is essential.
- Additional qualifications such as CO2 handling are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams/manuals.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using handheld devices for job logging and reporting.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
