HGV Class 2 Driver

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our growing network within our client’s depots across the country. Shifts are available on a full or part time basis with a choice of nights or days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels to a nationwide network, including hubs, depots and delivery units, liaising with colleagues to ensure a smooth delivery process.
• Typically perform around 3–4 drops per shift and unload trailers; drive efficiently while adhering to road safety standards and completing required paperwork.
• Provide support within the transport team to address daily issues on the road.

Pay and Shift Details

• £15.80 per hour, increasing after 12 weeks of service
• Possibility of upfront holiday pay at 12.07% on top of the base rate for part-year and irregular hours
• Nights shifts available 7 days a week; full-time or part-time options

Essential Skills and Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence with HGV Class 2 (Cat C) entitlement
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC Card)
• In-date Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points on your Driving Licence (no CD, DD, DR, DG convictions)

Newly qualified drivers are welcome, as well as those with experience. All drivers are expected to undertake a short driving assessment which includes a brief written test; basic English is required to complete this.
