About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our Facilities Management team, supporting the smooth running and upkeep of a variety of commercial and residential sites. You\’ll be the go-to person for general repairs, basic maintenance, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for our clients and their customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across multiple sites (e.g., basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, minor electrical works).
- Conduct regular site inspections and report any maintenance issues or hazards.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety regulations.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers when specialist works are required.
- Maintain accurate records of works completed and materials used.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar handyman or maintenance role, ideally within a facilities management environment.
- Good knowledge of basic building services, including plumbing, joinery, painting, and minor electrical repairs.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and respond quickly to maintenance issues.
- A valid UK driving licence (desirable, depending on site requirements).
- Relevant trade qualifications (advantageous but not essential).
