Junior Electrical Engineer – Commercial Building Maintenance

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £35-37k

Hours: Monday–Friday (40 hrs)

Type: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Carrying out PPMs (planned preventive maintenance) across electrical systems within a commercial building
• Responding to reactive maintenance tasks and fault finding
• Supporting senior engineers with electrical repairs and minor works
• Completing compliance checks, testing routines, and basic fabric tasks when required
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company and site procedures
• Providing a positive and professional service to building occupants and clients

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition qualification
• Ideally some experience gained through an apprenticeship or junior role
• Strong willingness to learn and develop within the FM sector
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering a high standard of work
