Role Overview
The role involves cleaning production equipment such as belts, pipework, conveyors, and maintaining hygiene in washrooms and general work areas. This position is essential to ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise industrial equipment including production belts, conveyors, and associated pipework.
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of washrooms and staff facilities.
- Safely dismantle and reassemble basic machine parts (where required) for effective cleaning.
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Remove waste and ensure correct disposal procedures are followed.
- Complete cleaning schedules and documentation accurately.
- Work to high hygiene standards to support food safety / manufacturing compliance (if applicable).
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards.
- Follow all health & safety, COSHH, and site‑specific procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
