Role Overview

The role involves cleaning production equipment such as belts, pipework, conveyors, and maintaining hygiene in washrooms and general work areas. This position is essential to ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise industrial equipment including production belts, conveyors, and associated pipework.
  • Perform routine and deep cleaning of washrooms and staff facilities.
  • Safely dismantle and reassemble basic machine parts (where required) for effective cleaning.
  • Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Remove waste and ensure correct disposal procedures are followed.
  • Complete cleaning schedules and documentation accurately.
  • Work to high hygiene standards to support food safety / manufacturing compliance (if applicable).
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards.
  • Follow all health & safety, COSHH, and site‑specific procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
