An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-driven individual to join a well-established and growing business based in the Aston area. This Accounts Assistant position is ideally suited to someone with a solid background in a similar role, who is looking to further develop their skills within a stable & professional environment within a SME business.

Working as part of a small close-knit finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting function and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained. The role offers broad exposure across the finance function, with regular interaction with clients and suppliers and involvement in month-end processes.

Day To Day Duties:

  • Reporting to the Accounts Manager on site
  • Getting involved with all aspects of the day to day duties
  • Managing Accounts
  • Speaking to Clients and suppliers
  • Chasing payments
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Invoicing and Invoice chasing
  • Reconciliation

Experience And Skills Required:

  • You must have 2-3 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant role
  • AAT qualified preferred but not essential
  • Experience using Access / Dimensions preferred but not essential
  • Be an advanced user of Excel, capable of manipulating data
  • Feel confident working in a fast-paced and busy work environment allowing you to do your job effectively
  • Exceptional organisational skills allowing you to track and maintain ledgers and your day-to-day tasks as well as having a strong eye for detail

This will be a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate. Working Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm and Fridays 8.30am–1.30pm – 34.5 hours a week. Pay £16.50ph depending on experience. Please apply online in first instance.
