An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join our finance team at POhWER. The post will be home-based with occasional travel to our Stevenage or Birmingham offices.
Contract type: Permanent
Full time: 37 hours, 5 days per week working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
Salary: £39,873 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Benefits

About the role: With the support of one direct report, our successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of management information and providing an effective business partnering service to the operations teams and senior leaders. The role holder will also business partner with the tendering team, providing financial oversight to the contract bidding process and producing analysis for annual pricing reviews. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will lead monthly financial reviews and the annual budget setting process. No previous sector experience is required; the role would suit someone who has come through the management accounting route in either a service provision or manufacturing environment, who is looking to expand their sector experience and gain experience of working with senior teams.
About you: Ideally you will be a CIMA or CCAB qualified accountant with some post qualified work experience; part qualified candidates with suitable work experience will be considered. Your experience and skills will include:
- Extensive knowledge of Excel and the ability to manipulate large datasets into meaningful management information.
- Experience of presenting complex financial information to non-finance professionals.
- Experience of producing forecasts through collaborative engagement.
- Experience of leading finance reviews and producing variance analysis.
- Experience of budget setting.
- Experience of product or service costing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to forge and maintain relationships across different areas of organisations.
- Ability to balance the requirement of providing budget holders a service but also holding them to account for delivery.
