Job Overview
We are looking for a qualified and reliable electrician to carry out electrical upgrade works in occupied domestic properties. The work involves removing existing light fittings to allow for upgrade works and installing fire-rated putty pads to electrical back boxes in line with fire stopping requirements.
Scope of Works
- Safely isolate electrical circuits before work begins
- Remove and refit existing light fittings where required
- Install fire-rated putty pads to socket and switch back boxes
- Ensure all works comply with current electrical regulations and fire safety standards
- Make good and leave work areas clean and tidy
- Test circuits after completion and confirm safe operation
Requirements
- Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- 18th Edition qualified
- ECS/JIB card preferred
- Manual Handling/Working at height/Asbestos Awareness Certs
- Experience working in domestic properties
- Familiarity with fire stopping products and installation methods
- Own tools and transport preferred
- Good communication and professionalism when working in occupied homes
Desirable
- Experience on social housing or residential upgrade programmes
- Ability to work independently and complete works efficiently
- Testing and inspection qualification advantageous
