Electrical Engineer

Location: Worthing

Salary: 39k + Van

My client, a Sussex-based electrical contractor, is seeking a driven Electrical Engineer to work in their contracts team undertaking EICR testing in residential properties.

This role will suit a self-sufficient engineer who can manage their own diary and workload to ensure all tasks are completed each day and week.

This role reports to the contracts manager based in Hove.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified electrician with the following qualifications:

  • BS7671:2018
  • Level 1–3 Technical Certificate in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • Vocational NVQ Level 3 in electrical industry
  • National Electrotechnical Training (NET) AM2 certificate
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (BS2391, BS2394, BS2395 or equivalent)

Desirable but not essential qualifications include:

  • BS:5266 Emergency Lighting Fundamentals/Maintenance
  • BS:5839 Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems Fundamentals/Maintenance
  • Other professional courses such as Electric Vehicle Installations, PV Installations, etc.
  • At least 5 years of onsite experience in servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and small installations for industrial sites.
