Overview
Join Structural Soils in shaping the future of UK water infrastructure. With Ofwat’s AMP8 investment programme injecting £88 billion into the UK water sector, Structural Soils, part of the RSK Group, is poised to play a pivotal role in delivering geotechnical excellence across major infrastructure projects. We’re seeking Graduate Ground Engineers to join our expanding team delivering complex ground investigations, primarily within the water sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of geotechnical projects from inception to completion.
- Undertake ground investigations, interpret data, and deliver high-quality reports.
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulations.
Person Specification
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related field.
- Excellent communication, teamwork skills, and client-facing skills.
- Entry level roles require no previous experience in the industry as you will receive extensive training in all aspects of ground investigation projects to start your career, learn the technical, commercial and management skills, and progress in a friendly and professional environment.
- A desire to become a key member of the local and national team of engineers through demonstrating excellence in their work.
- Willingness to learn geotechnical soil and rock logging.
- Willingness to learn how to collate geotechnical data using the latest industry software and write reports for external clients within stringent internal protocols.
- Full Clean UK Manual driving licence essential.

- Commensurate on experience.
- 31 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), rising to 36 for extended service.
