The Vacancy

Hemel Hempstead, UK. Structural Soils, part of the RSK Group, has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Driller to join our team based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a great opportunity to work with a supportive and experienced team focused on quality and health & safety. We work all over the UK, from inner-city to countryside locations.

Responsibilities

  • Work outside throughout the year in varying locations around the UK (staying away is often required; all expenses paid)
  • Assist Lead Drillers in our Drilling Department on sites across the UK
  • Undertake general labouring duties such as erecting fences, general reinstatement, delivering consumables, hand-dug inspection pits and sample collection
  • Manual handling and moving heavy items; training in the use of site equipment and plant
  • Assist with tasks in the Warehouse
  • Opportunities to work on all of our rig types

About You / Qualifications

  • Must have a full UK driving licence
  • Flexible approach with a focus on delivering results
  • Reliable with good time-keeping
  • Team oriented with the ability to work independently on tasks
  • Able to carry out physically challenging tasks
  • Strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards
  • CSCS Card is desirable but not essential
