Structivus Recruitment is representing a leading Passive Fire Protection contractor who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Sales Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: You will actively seek out new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and projects that require Passive Fire & Fire Door solutions. Our SE will initiate contact and nurture leads.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Identify potential clients – this involves analysing demand, competition, and emerging opportunities.
  • Relationship Building: Your role will be to establish and cultivate strong relationships with architects, builders, contractors, and other industry stakeholders. Building rapport is crucial for gaining trust and securing partnerships.
  • Proposal Development: You will collaborate with technical and operations teams to create compelling proposals that outline passive fire solutions tailored to clients' needs. These proposals highlight the benefits of the products and services offered.
  • Negotiation and Sales: As a SE you will negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients. Work to close deals and secure contracts for passive fire solutions, including fire doors, fire‑resistant materials, and other safety systems.
  • Strategic Planning: A successful business development manager will develop and implement strategic plans to identify new opportunities, expand existing client relationships, and drive revenue growth.
  • Networking and Industry Events: Attending trade shows, conferences, and industry events to connect with potential clients, stay updated on industry developments, legislation and showcase the company's offerings.
  • Client Relationship Management: After securing contracts, you will maintain an ongoing relationship with clients, ensuring their satisfaction, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for additional services.

Overall, a Sales Executive in the passive fire industry is responsible for driving business growth, expanding the company's footprint, and ensuring that the right passive fire solutions are provided to clients to enhance fire safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' industry experience in a SE or similar role.
  • Proven track record in sales or business development paired with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Well presented, approachable and professional, self‑starter.
  • Excellent organisation and time management abilities; responsible for own diary and arranging meetings.
  • Self‑motivation and strong attention to detail.
  • Capable of working office‑based during Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 with travel to prospective clients, sites and on the road while scoping new opportunities.
