We’re working with a well-established main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across the South East. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an exciting commercial-to-residential conversion project in London, transforming an existing commercial property into a collection of modern apartments.

The Role: As Project Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the development from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll manage all site activities, oversee subcontractors, ensure programme delivery, and maintain strong communication with both internal teams and the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of the project lifecycle
  • Manage site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient delivery
  • Oversee programme, budget, and quality control
  • Liaise with design teams, consultants, and local authorities
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular progress updates
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry
  • Background in refurbishment or conversion projects, ideally commercial-to-residential / refurbishments.
  • Strong technical understanding of building processes and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage budgets, programmes, and client expectations
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred
