We're currently working with a well-established passive fire protection contractor who are looking to add an experienced Fire Door Installer to their team on a permanent basis. They deliver fire door installation and remedial works across a range of commercial, government, education, and healthcare projects, and are continuing to grow due to a strong pipeline of secured work. Due to the nature of the work the ability to work away is essential.
The Role
- Installing and fitting fire doors, frames, seals, and ironmongery
- Carrying out fire door remedial and upgrade works
- Inspecting fire doors to ensure compliance with regulations and specifications
- Supporting and supervising small teams on site when required
- Working from drawings, door schedules, and technical details
- Completing QA checks and site documentation accurately
- Ensuring all works meet fire safety and manufacturer standards
- Liaising with site teams, contractors, and other trades
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience in fire door installation (essential)
- Strong understanding of fire door compliance and standards
- Ability to read drawings and technical information
- Supervisory experience or confidence leading installers (desirable)
- High attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Good communication skills on site
- NVQ in Carpentry/Joinery or Passive Fire Protection (preferred)
- CSCS card (essential)
