The Role
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of fire door compliance projects, ensuring all works meet current legislation and industry standards. This includes managing inspection programmes, remedial works, and installations, while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Note this position will require the successful applicant to work away.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple fire door compliance projects from survey through to certification
- Coordinate and supervise site teams, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Ensure all fire door installations and remedial works comply with current fire safety regulations and third-party accreditation standards
- Oversee project budgets, scheduling, and quality assurance processes
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and delivery expectations are met
- Conduct regular site visits, audits, and progress reviews to ensure compliance and performance
- Manage documentation including inspection reports, compliance records, and handover certification
Requirements
- Proven experience in passive fire protection, with a strong focus on fire door compliance, inspections, and installation
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, including relevant British Standards and certification schemes
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and client expectations effectively
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
- NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry (or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the passive fire protection or fire door sector
