As a trustee, you will play an important role in helping Stroud Valleys Project continue to grow its impact. Your contribution will help ensure that the charity can:

What are we looking for?

What will you be doing?
Stroud Valleys Project has been helping the people and nature of the Stroud District to thrive for the last 35 years. We are now at a crucial point in our development and are seeking Trustees who can help us to grow sustainably so that we can carry on our vital work for the next 35 years and beyond. We are currently restructuring our core staffing team, so this is an ideal time for new trustees to bring fresh ideas and innovation to our organisation.
As a trustee, you will help provide strategic direction, governance and oversight for the charity. Working collaboratively with other board members and the CEO, you will help ensure the charity is well‑run, financially sustainable and able to maximise its impact.
Our trustees collectively:
- Support and guide the charity’s strategy and priorities
- Monitor performance and impact against our goals
- Provide oversight of financial plans, budgets and accounts
- Ensure the charity meets its legal and governance responsibilities
- Identify and manage key risks
- Support and constructively challenge the CEO and leadership team
As a small charity, trustees may occasionally provide advice or input beyond meetings, particularly in areas where they have relevant expertise.
