What you'll be doing
- Lead the IPC function and maintain the organisation’s low infection rates.
- Provide visible, hands-on clinical leadership and expert advice across the organisation.
- Challenge and influence clinical practice, including at Consultant level.
- Drive IPC standards, audits, surveillance and improvement activity.
- Work closely with senior clinical and executive leaders on infection risk and patient safety.
- Provide IPC leadership for the New Hospital Development and other clinical environment projects.
What we're looking for
- NMC Registered Nurse with significant senior IPC experience in an acute healthcare setting.
- Proven senior leadership experience within Infection Prevention & Control.
- Confident, authoritative and comfortable challenging senior clinicians and Consultants.
- Strong clinical judgement, influencing skills and the ability to drive change.
- Able to operate with credibility and autonomy from day one.
