What you’ll be doing:
- Function as a competent scrub practitioner within the day case operating theatre environment.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields in accordance with aseptic non-touch technique (ANTT) principles.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team throughout procedures.
- Ensure the correct handling, counting, and accountability of surgical instruments, swabs, sharps, and consumables.
What we’re looking for:
- Registered Operating Department Practitioner with current HCPC registration or Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience working as a scrub practitioner within an operating theatre environment.
- Understanding of perioperative care and patient safety principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
