Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day management of the practice, working closely with the Practice Manager to ensure efficient operations, excellent patient care, and a positive working environment for staff.

- Job Responsibilities
- Operational Management
- Support the Practice Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the practice.
- Assist with developing and implementing practice policies, procedures, and systems.
- Ensure efficient administrative processes are maintained across the practice.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiency.
- Assist in managing premises and facilities issues, liaising with external contractors where required.
- Staff Management and Support
- Support the recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff.
- Assist with rota planning and workforce management.
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance and support to administrative and reception teams.
- Promote effective communication and teamwork across all staff groups.
- Support performance management processes as required.
- Patient Services
- Ensure high standards of patient care and customer service are maintained.
- Manage and investigate patient feedback, concerns, and complaints in accordance with practice procedures.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience
- Experience in a healthcare, primary care, or similar administrative environment.
- Experience supervising or supporting teams.
