About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and innovative team in a newly created role. The purpose of the Projects and Consultation Officer role is to support the development and delivery of the council’s consultation strategy and project management framework, and to support the council to meet its Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Equity objectives.
As part of our team, you will be responsible for:
· Leading on the development and coordination of the council’s consultation activity, including supporting and advising colleagues across the organisation.
· Contributing to the coordination of specific consultation exercises including the annual satisfaction survey and ensuring the results are used to inform decision making.
· Supporting the delivery of and championing the council’s Project Management Toolkit and providing project management support where necessary.
· Providing guidance, advice and support to the organisation on equality and diversity issues, including maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of related legislation, public policy research and external trends.
Who should apply?
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual who has experience in at least one of the areas included in the Job Description with a willingness to learn all elements of the role. To be successful, you will also need:
· To be proactive and highly organised with the ability to prioritise a varied workload;
· To have excellent verbal and written communication and be able to effectively manage projects;
· Experience in dealing confidently with people at a range of levels within an organisation;
· To be approachable with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders;
· A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different scenarios.
