We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced environmental health officer with extensive experience of food safety enforcement work to join our commercial services team for up to 12 months, from the beginning of September, whilst the present post holder is on maternity leave.
You will be assisted by a food safety officer and be responsible for managing the programmed inspection of all food businesses within an area of the District and conducting topic-based health and safety interventions in those premises as required. The team also carries out a wide range of additional duties such as port health work at Sharpness Docks, arranging public health funerals, and investigating incidents, infectious diseases, and complaints.
