We are looking for a motivated and people-focused Museum Volunteer Co‑ordinator to join our award-winning team at the Museum in the Park.
You will lead the recruitment, training and ongoing support of our valued volunteers - ensuring they feel confident, included and able to provide an experience for every visitor.
You will:
- Recruit, induct and support a diverse team of volunteers
- As part of the Front of House team be the Duty Manager on a rota basis and carry out front-of-house operations
- Match volunteers to roles where they can thrive and contribute
- Deliver training, guidance and ongoing development
This is a varied, rewarding role combining people management, customer service and operational responsibility in a dynamic public-facing environment.
About you
We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellent public service and inclusive community engagement. You will bring:
- Experience of working with people in a volunteer, community, or customer-facing setting
- Able to work effectively in a busy public environment (with appropriate support and adjustments where needed)
- Experience of working in ways that focus on each person’s needs, preferences, and well-being
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge (or willingness to further develop knowledge) of volunteering good practice
- Confidence using digital tools such as email, Microsoft Office, and online systems
You will:
- Be a positive, supportive team member who values others
- Be able to work flexibly, including weekends on a rota
- Champion the contribution and value of volunteers
