A vacancy has arisen for a Service Desk Analyst to join our ICT team.
About the role:
This is a career-graded role (Stroud Grade 3-4) and the successful candidate will primarily support the Council by troubleshooting staff and Members IT issues. This role is starting at a Stroud 3 (£28,598), rising to a Stroud 4 (£33,699) subject to successful progression. We are looking for an exceptional individual who can operate in our Service Desk team.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who has experience of working in this capacity and is able to build and maintain rapport with your customers. You will also have:
- Proven experience of supporting a customer base (600+) using Microsoft products operating in a complex, fast paced environment.
- Means to serve as frontline IT support and be the first point of contact for users needing technical assistance.
- Ability to resolve hardware and software issues via phone, email, or chat providing clear solutions and guidance to users.
- Experience of operating in a small service desk team, preferably using ITIL service delivery methodology to log and manage tickets.
- The ability to provide effective and timely resolutions to a range of routine and complex ICT problems, whilst ensuring thorough documentation.
At Stroud District Council we offer a flexible approach to working within the working day however due to the close customer support required within this role the vacancy is unable to be offered as Hybrid and will be based in Ebley Mill, Stroud. The ability to drive and have access to a car is required for this role.
