We are looking for someone who has the skills and qualities necessary to support vulnerable clients through the process of applying for a Disabled Facilities Grant.

You will be working with the Principal Environmental Health Officers and Private Sector Housing Officers in the busy Private Sector Housing Team, to ensure the timely delivery of Disabled Facilities Grant adaptations.

This will involve visiting clients in their homes, and assisting them throughout the application process, including submitting appropriate documentation.

You will liaise with officers and other agencies to assist in the timely processing of applications and provide assistance as required.

You need to detailed and accurate in handling data and keeping records., A local government reorganisation is planned for Gloucestershire, which may result in changes to structures and services.

Potential changes are provisionally timetabled for April 2028.

  • Experience of Local Government Housing Practices and Policies with particular regard to Disabled Facilities Grants or similar processes.
