About the Role

Stroud District Council is on the lookout for a passionate, people‑focused Housing Officer who’s ready to delve into a role where no two days are ever the same! As a key member of our Housing Team, you’ll be right at the heart of our communities - working directly with tenants across the district to help them build successful, sustainable tenancies. You’ll be the friendly face and trusted point of contact for your patch, supporting residents with everything from managing rent accounts to keeping our estates safe, welcoming, and vibrant places to live.

About You

  • Strong tenancy management and enforcement experience within social housing
  • A solid understanding of housing legislation and the regulatory framework
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a real passion for delivering brilliant customer services
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset – someone who loves to take initiative and make things happen
  • A CIH qualification (or you’re working towards one) or extensive housing/income management experience
