We are seeking an enthusiastic Surveyor to contribute to the delivery of a quality property management service for the council. This is a particularly important time to join us as the council prepares for Local Government Reorganisation (LGR). This role will be important to helping us maintain service delivery and ensuring we are well positioned for the future.
This role would suit someone experienced in Estate Management who is ready to pursue their General Practice surveying career working in a small but high-profile team. You will be responsible for your own varied caseload and have the ability to assist with both the strategic and day-to-day management of our property portfolio.
Applicants will ideally hold a degree in Estate Management or equivalent and be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). This is an extremely diverse role requiring a wide range of qualities. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential, and you will need to demonstrate a real passion for providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have, or wish to gain, experience of working in the public sector and will have direct interaction with tenants, the public, and members of the council. You should be thorough and diligent with a genuine interest in solving complex problems. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a professional manner, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. An ability to produce and maintain accurate records and be proficient in the use of IT, including competency at using MS Office applications, is also required.
