£40,794 (STR5) plus market supplement. Two roles - one permanent position and one fixed term for three years. We are seeking applications from enthusiastic, collaborative professionals who can bring their professional experience, knowledge, and ambition to make a real difference at Stroud District Council. We are seeking two Asset Surveyors who are passionate about customer service, enthusiastic, collaborative, and have a strong professional outlook focused on ensuring Investment Programmes are completed on time and to the required standard. You will also have strong commercial and financial awareness, be passionate about the Built Environment, possess the necessary drive and skill set, and be fully conversant with Building Pathology.
The successful candidates are key in helping shape the delivery of the service; they will have experience of working within the sector, delivering Investment Programmes, and be aware of the challenges and rewards it can present. You must be a team player and have the creativity to overcome problems.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Undertake the technical diagnostic and contract administration processes.
- Deliver contracts efficiently and effectively against agreed performance targets.
- Consult and engage with stakeholders throughout all stages of the contract process.
- Support a consistent approach to contract management.
- Achieve and promote Value for Money.
- Exercise budgetary and effective financial management controls.
- Assist with the procurement of contractors and suppliers.
- Support the Asset Data Team in ensuring all property-related asset data is collated.
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are being adhered to on site.
- Support the delivery of retrofit projects and reporting functions.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential, and you’ll need to demonstrate a real passion to provide excellent customer service.
