We are seeking applications from experienced, motivated, and collaborative professionals to join us as a Senior Asset Surveyor, bringing their technical expertise, leadership, and strategic insight to help shape the future of our asset and investment programmes. This is a key role within the service, requiring a strong professional with a customer focused approach and a proven track record of delivering complex Investment Programmes. You will demonstrate a passion for the built environment, and inâdepth knowledge of building pathology. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high technical standard. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the strategic direction and continual improvement of the Asset Management function. You will have experience working within the housing or public sector, understand the challenges and opportunities of delivering largeâscale investment programmes, and have the creativity and resilience to overcome complex problems. You will also act as a professional role model, managing colleagues and championing best practice across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and undertake technical diagnostics and contract administration processes across the asset portfolio.
- Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of contracts in line with agreed performance targets and KPIs.
- Engage, consult, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders throughout all stages of the contract lifecycle.
- Promote and embed a consistent, bestâpractice approach to contract management.
- Drive Value for Money outcomes through robust commercial and financial management.
- Exercise effective budgetary control and financial oversight of investment programmes.
- Support and contribute to the procurement of contractors and suppliers.
- Work closely with the Asset Data Team to ensure accurate and comprehensive property asset data is captured and maintained.
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation and procedures on site.
- Support the delivery of retrofit programmes and associated reporting and performance requirements.
- Management of Surveyors.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential. You will also need to demonstrate a genuine commitment to providing an excellent customer experience and delivering highâquality services.
