StrongGuard Security UK is seeking a professional and customer-focused Female Concierge Officer to provide flexible cover for holiday leave, sickness absence, emergency requirements and additional operational demand in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a first‑class reception and concierge service whilst helping to maintain the safety, security and wellbeing of residents, visitors, contractors and on‑site staff. This is a zero‑hours position requiring flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays as required. Due to the sensitive nature of the service provided to our client, this role is subject to a Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 and applications are therefore invited from female candidates only.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a positive first impression for residents, visitors and contractors.
- Provide a professional front‑of‑house and reception service.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and handover documentation.
- Monitor access to the building and ensure site security procedures are followed.
- Communicate effectively with residents, support teams, contractors and external agencies.
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections internally and externally.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and safeguarding concerns.
- Escalate issues in accordance with site procedures and client requirements.
- Support residents by providing information and signposting during difficult situations.
- Represent StrongGuard Security UK and the client professionally at all times.
- Undertake cleaning duties in accordance with the site cleaning schedule.
- Ensure all information is recorded, stored and communicated securely and accurately.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 1‑3 years of experience in a concierge, security, reception or customer service role (advantageous).
- Experience working independently and making decisions in a lone‑working environment.
- Experience delivering excellent customer service in a professional setting.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and completing incident reports.
- A valid SIA Security Officer or Door Supervisor Licence.
- A valid First Aid certificate with a minimum of six months remaining until expiry.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle is highly desirable due to the flexible nature of the role and shift requirements.
- Flexible and reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
