The main duties of the patrol & response officer are to safeguard our clients' premises and assets.
- Locking and Unlocking: Opening and closing the clients' premises in accordance with the site-specific assignment instructions and agreed schedules.
- Alarm Response: Attending alarm activations promptly, conducting thorough site inspections, and taking appropriate action including resetting on-site security systems.
- Mobile Patrols: Carrying out scheduled and random mobile patrols of the clients' premises, ensuring visible deterrence and compliance with assignment instructions.
- Lone Worker Support: Providing welfare checks and support to lone workers including the clients' staff and contractors, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while on duty.
- Incident Management: Accurately report attendance and escalating incidents, maintaining clear communication with the national control centre (NCC).
- Customer Service: Acting as a professional representative of the company, maintaining a high standard of customer interaction and service delivery.
- Compliance: Adhering to all company policies, assignment instructions, and legal requirements, including SIA standards, British standards and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating job-ready skills.
- Experience delivering customer-facing services.
- A valid SIA (Door Supervision or Security) licence.
- A valid First Aid certificate with a minimum of 6 months remaining until expiry.
- A valid Driving License and access to a vehicle.
- Flexible and reliable with an excellent attendance and punctuality record, smart appearance and professional demeanour.
- An enthusiastic team player with a positive, solution-focused approach and must enjoy working with people.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or as part of a team whilst maintaining a friendly approach.
- Takes pride in having and providing high standards / excellence with an organised approach, prioritising attention to detail, exceptional accuracy awareness and works with honesty and integrity at all times.
- Excellent customer service with clear communication skills, verbal, written and listening.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and follow policy and procedures at all times, even in stressful situations.
- Confident with conflict management and able to demonstrate sound judgement.
- Ability to prioritise ever-changing / challenging workload and focus on KPIs and SLAs.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing digital environment.
